Abstract

Contemporary tourism trends increasingly include innovative and sustainable forms of accommodation that combine nature-based experiences with a higher level of comfort. One such form is glamping tourism, which has experienced significant global growth in recent years. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, however, this type of tourism is still insufficiently developed, although it has strong potential to improve the tourism offer, particularly in rural and nature-based destinations. The aim of this paper is to analyze the legal and economic advantages of developing glamping tourism in Bosnia and Herzegovina compared to traditional models of building accommodation facilities. Special attention is given to the legal framework regulating the construction and operation of tourism facilities, including administrative procedures and spatial planning regulations. The paper also examines the economic aspects of investing in glamping accommodation, such as lower investment costs, construction flexibility, and faster project implementation. The study also presents research findings indicating the willingness of domestic tourists to use this form of accommodation and the need for stronger promotion of glamping tourism in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
