Abstract

In this paper, the authors will present part of their research on the possibilities of optimizing the application of linear wireless sensor networks in the system of smart street  parking. The problem of parking in the centers of larger cities is one of the pressing problems that should be solved through the implementation of the smart city system. Due to the limited  space, street parking is imposed as an indispensable solution. The authors will analyze the  problems and present the current possibilities for overcoming them. Linear wireless sensor  networks are proposed as a physical layer of the infrastructure, and special attention is paid to energy consumption in the network as a critical resource.
