Abstract

Of exceptional importance is agricultural production in the Central Bosnia region, which has great potential considering the wealth of natural resources. The planned increased agricultural production entails the use of protective agents, which represents a problem in the doses and concentrations of the agents used, the state of plant culture, the use of mechanization, all in total affects the increase of emissions into the atmosphere and increased aquatic ecosystem soil pollution, the monitoring of which is very neglectful, bearing in mind that there is no permanent monitoring of arable land through specific programs or systems.Without the development of a system that periodically collects data on the physical, chemical and biological parameters of the condition/quality of the land, it is impossible to timely notice the negative changes that occur in the soil, which inevitably lead to the degradation of the chemical, physical and biological properties of the land and directly affect the development root system and plant development. Therefore, the goal of this paper is to emphasize the importance of establishing a system of constant monitoring of agricultural land, which would establish critical points and risk areas, the type and degree of load of threats to the land, as a resource that is the first parameter of responsibility for the quality of food that we reach for today.
