The aim of this paper is to scientifically consider the social role, values and actions of the media in the current processes of globalization. As contemporary phenomena they represent a particular challenge for researchers of social phenomena and members of the ruling nomenclature. The global media are in the function of realizing the interests of the bearers of the globalization process, especially in the sphere of economy and expansion of TNC. Therefore, they are an essential factor in influencing the public in the context of shaping public opinion and gaining competitive advantage in the market. The fact is that certain information channels are primarilly used to place misinformation and manipulations. Also, it is significant is the distrust i the independence of the leading media in the globalized world, which is a controversy of the current level of human civilization.
