Public transport system (PTS) can be viewed from different aspects, through economic impact, role in emergency situation, impact on induced construction, competitiveness of the location or increase in value of property. Public transport makes a significant contribution in all social areas and represents a valuable alternative to using cars for most of the urban population. It helps the population in everyday activities in the community, and allows them to have a normal life. The way which many people choose to live for years are changing. In 2011, for the first time in almost a hundred years, the rate of growth of the urban population exceeded the rural. The transition to the urban way of life is gradual and much is actually taking place in suburban settlements, making housing unusual. In this sense, the aim of the paper should explain how the public transport system affects the availability of land for development and the spatial distribution of economic activities, which has the effect of influencing the price of land, housing availability, operating costs, productivity and, ultimately, economic results.
