The pandemic that hit the world in 2020 had significant impacts on all areas of business. The crisis, which arose as a result of the pandemic and its impact on business, affected the competitiveness of organizations, where some organizations, those recognized as socially responsible, had a significant advantage over others. This paper uses the method of description and compilation to describe the basic facts and processes, as well as key results related to the importance of corporate social responsibility during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as to present good practices of socially responsible organizations in Croatia. The results emphasize the importance of implementing the concept of corporate social responsibility, which is in the service of achieving the sustainability of the entire business, and which is necessary for the survival of organizations in crisis. Socially responsible organizations in the Republic of Croatia have influenced the creation of a positive image through numerous good practices, but research has shown that only when organizations achieve complete stability in the internal environment, only then can they help the wider community, while ensuring their own sustainability.
