Abstract

In addition to the usual recyclable products, the recycling of oil, especially from motor vehicles, is gaining in importance. This saves resources and prevents large environmental pollution. In addition to the usual oil products in oils, there are various additives that are dangerous to the environment. The EU Directive defines the removal, regeneration, incineration and recycling of oil. It also provides an overview of the situation in Serbia. As there is no system for proper collection and treatment of waste oil in Serbia, almost all of the quantities are purged by polluting water resources, or improperly burns by emitting harmful compounds into the atmosphere. Serbia is expected to contribute to the adoption of legal acts that will significantly define this area. It is known that used motor oil is difficult to remove and contains toxic chemicals and heavy metals. It is beautiful and is kept on everything from sand on the beach to feathers on birds.
