Abstract

Beeing aware of the possible hazards that threaten on work and measures by which those hazards can be avoided, are the precondition for safety at work. By creating his working environment and environment in general, man was forced to learn constantly, trying to use the past experience and to create conditions for the better in a new time. By working under various circumstances, man has always been trying to avoid harmful consequences. As society was developing more and more, a man was more likely to have the negative consequences of his own manufacturing (processing) activity, and even the disasters. Safety at work is an integral part of the working process and a basic requirement for labor productivity. This is necessary not only for human reasons but also for economic justification. In an out-of-order relations between a man, a machine and a working environment, there is a risk that a man will act incorrectly and that his act will cause an accident, that can, but must not result in injury, damage or other lost. The main purpose of this paper is to point readers to the harmful effects that can be caused by lack of knowledge of labor safety.
