Traffic safety on the roads, as a complex systemmay be observed from several aspects: biological, technical, regulatory, organizational, educational, health, socio-economically. On the other hand, as a widespread problem, traffic safety on the roads can be seen at the global, regional, national and local level. Socio-economic aspect reflects the social and economic entity of society, as a general framework for the overall development of the community. The local level is the basis for the developments, as well as for the traffic safety. This paper analyzes the socio-economic aspect of traffic safety at the local level, case study - municipality of Rozaje in Montenegro, in order to investigate the conditionality of improving road safety lagging behind in socio-economic development of local communities. Road traffic safety of local community shows the condition of traffic safety in which the municipality Rožaje is, proposal and analaye of traffic safety and guidelines that willshow fastest and easiest way to get from the current to the desired state.
