This paper presents activities that expert institution, IPI doo, Zenica, performed under transmitted competence by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Communications. One of the tasks that expert institution performed is expert supervision and control of calibration of equipment that is used to make vehicle technical inspection. From the presented, it can be seen what the problems were observed in stations of technical inspection of vehicles and what was achieved after several years of work with permanent control and how it affected on the improvement of the quality of work on the stations for technical inspection of vehicles.
