Abstract

The UN General Assembly and the Global Plan of Action decades of Road Safety 2010 - 2020 emphasized the importance of the global and national, vertical and horizontal coordination in the world, in order to reduce the number of people killed in traffic accidents, and costs around the world. In addition, activities for improving traffic safety are analyzed in five columns, covering the vehicle as a factor affecting traffic safety. Therefore, this paper provides an overview of the equipment and facilities at stations vehicle inspection, which are used to control the technical condition of the vehicle, and in direct conjunction with the level of traffic safety. Consequence of better technical inspection of vehicles is a higher percentage
of the vehicles on the roads and a higher percentage of returned vehicles with production lines in relation to the age of the vehicle in the Republic of Srpska.
