Abstract

The contemporary logistics environment faces the imperative of digital transformation as a critical factor for sustainability and competitiveness. This paper explores a strategic framework for managing the digital transition of logistics processes, with a specific focus on the reconfiguration of organizational architecture and the pivotal role of the human factor. The central thesis of the paper posits that the success of transformation does not depend solely on technological implementation, but rather on the synergy between organizational structure, the level of digital maturity, and the cognitive readiness of employees. The study provides a detailed analysis of the digital maturity model through five hierarchical levels—ranging from the initial stage to the optimization stage offering a methodological tool for evaluating the current state of an organization. Particular emphasis is placed on defining the roles and responsibilities of the Program Director as a catalyst for change, as well as the importance of multidisciplinary teams in bridging the gap between technological capabilities and their practical application. Concluding considerations indicate that a holistic approach, which integrates precise resource management, continuous personnel education, and proactive leadership, represents the only path toward transforming traditional supply chains into intelligent and agile systems capable of responding to the challenges of a volatile market.
