Logistics centers play a pivotal role in modern supply chains, providing the essential infrastructure for efficient warehousing, distribution, and the integrated management of complex freight flows. The strategic selection of an optimal location is determined by a multidimensional set of factors, including the quality of transport infrastructure, spatial accessibility, operational costs, availability of skilled labor, and stringent environmental, legal, and safety standards. Given that an incorrect localization decision can generate long-term inefficiencies, this paper provides a detailed analysis of contemporary quantitative and qualitative decision-making methods. A particular focus is placed on the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), the integration of Geographical Information Systems (GIS), the application of the gravity model, and comprehensive cost-benefit analyses. The added value of this research is reflected in the analysis of the geo-traffic potential of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Its role as a key transit point is highlighted, with special emphasis on Corridor Vc, which opens perspectives for the development of regional logistics hubs. In its concluding remarks, the paper points toward the inevitable transformation of site selection criteria under the influence of digitalization and the sustainability imperative. The future development of logistics centers will primarily depend on the implementation of advanced technologies—such as smart warehousing—and strict adherence to green standards, which are becoming a sine qua non for achieving competitiveness in the global market.
