We are witnessing changes in the manufacturing industry, this time for the better, thanks to science and businessmen, it has been proven that there are new alternative values, thoughts, risks and questions. What will happen if the raw materials currently used in production are no longer available? This paper predicts a change in traditional production, a linear "take-make-throw" economy, towards a hitherto sustainable model, where natural resources were the primary economic capital. Focusing on the concept of a circular economy, how the preservation of nature is directly linked to the longterm profitability of the economy. In this paper, special attention is paid to the economic profitability of metal recycling, applying justified energy savings and reducing dependence on metal raw materials. Metal waste represents the best example of a circular economy, where ecological resources are transformed into permanent capital that, through recycling, eliminates the need for further degradation of arable land and the environment. The transition to sustainable resource management is not only ecologically justified, it is also economically justified.
