Reducing environmental pollution and the negative impact of used electronic and electrical equipment on public health can be contributed to by obliging manufacturers or users to take responsibility for their products at all stages of the life cycle. Then by encouraging consumers to buy products made from recyclable materials, and to dispose of equipment appropriately after use, all based on previously adopted environmental management system documents. This paper will investigate the level of environmental awareness in electricity distribution companies, as large users and consumers of electronic equipment, from the aspect of managing electrical and electronic equipment (procurement, use, disposal) and closing material flows from equipment procurement, then selection to final recycling or disposal. The end user is obliged not to hand over waste equipment to the system operator as mixed municipal waste, but to collect waste, temporarily store it and send it for recycling.
