Everyday political disputes within political elites have had significant negative effects on the relationship between the three constituent peoples in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Thanks to the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina that is independent from daily politics, the Bosnia and Herzegovina convertible mark has remained independent from these political turbulences up until today`s time. The importance of convertible mark stems from its monetary stability which guarantees the BiH economy to operate at some level of stability. Low annual inflation ensures the stability of business to all individuals and firms within the BiH territory. This paper presents the importance of the Central Bank and convertible mark within general economic and socio-political circumstances in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Rather than being a factor of destabilization, the Central Bank is an example of cohesion among the three constituent peoples and other citizens in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and a very important factor for the economic and socio-political stability of the country.
