The social dimension of sustainable development implies a growing tendency towards education, health and welfare, and they are the key elements in the development of the economy and the central pillar in the development of human capital. Sustainable development is the evolution of the service sector and an economy based more on human capital than on material resources. In this sense, the problem of unemployment and under-employment is closely connected with the problem of poverty. The impact of demographic changes on the working age population and its employment is influenced by technological developments, public policies related to migration, indirectly through foreign direct investment. Also, increasing income inequality are prominent feature of the modern era, and inequality is not just a question of social justice, but it has a great impact on the viability of the company. A continued economic growth which will mainly benefit the poorest population, remains a major challenge in the design of economic policy in the future, as the fight against poverty and social exclusion is a very important component of the social policies of the EU, and one of the principle objectives of the strategy "Europe 2020".
