Abstract

The concept of sustainable development refers to a form of economic growth that meets the needs of the society in the short, medium and long term. This concept is based on the assumption that the development needs to meet current needs, without compromising the satisfaction of the needs of future generations. Sustainable development is based on: economically efficient development, social justice and environmental sustainability. Information and communication technology and especially the Internet have a strong impact on the change in the economic structure of the national - the world economic system. They operate on all dimensions of economic life, while maintaining the standards developed in the era of industrial economy, but leaving the possibility for the expression of individual, group and national specificities. Under the conditions of the information economy, companies should find ways to efficiently monitor the flow of information within the business model.
