Abstract

We know that most of the information systems introduced for e-Government are introduced individually with different information technologies, which results in a difficult exchange of information and reduces the transparency of those data that should always be available. As a possible solution, there is a new technology called blockchain. Blockchain technology provides a solution to the problem of creating a distributed database that does not depend on the central entity. By using this technology, many of the currently known problems with data fragmentation, security and transparency can be solved. This paper should present blockchain technology as well as an idea of how this technology could be used when introducing information systems for e-Government or for connecting existing systems to be more useful because the technological paradigm of blockchain technology implies safe storage and data transfer.
