Today information-communications (ICT) technology is entering in a phase of utilization maturity, and the accent is moved to information and content which that technology enables. Although the development of ICT opens new possibilities, it should keep in mind the business needs and opportunities of improving business. Instead of focusing on technological solutions, it should consider all business implications. However, thanks to the development of ICT and networked and computerized society, all human activities have been changed from the ground (from the economy, public sector, government, culture, sports, recreation and familial life). Information is multiplying with geometric progression and society and individuals are becoming more efficient and operating costs are reducing. It is coming to reducing time and costs of communication, achieving good effects of economies of scale, avoiding multiple studies on the same subject, developing new ideas and the like. In the basis of IT-networked society were the scientific discoveries and technical inventions in function of development and more efficient operations and improving working conditions and quality of life. These processes are accelerating new discoveries and new inventions, so the world is linked planet, communication is very fast and inexpensive to build the knowledge base, knowledge is exchanged and it is more accessible to more people. In this paper, we've outlined the concept and importance of modern ICT and explained some of its implications in the context of the new economy of 21st century.
