Abstract

The subject of this paper are positive consequences of the effective implementation of Regulation (EU) 2017/352 on the Croatian Harbor Sector. This decree is directly applicable from March 24, 2019 in all European Union countries. This will contribute to the efficient operation of ports in the EU, in which manipulates with more than 0.1% of the total cargo or the total number of passengers. This regulation refers to the following Croatian ports: Pula, Rijeka, Zadar, Šibenik, Split, Ploče and Dubrovnik. The same decree will facilitate access to port services market, and the introduction of financial transparency and the autonomy of seaports will improve the quality and efficiency of port services. It will also contribute to a more favorable investment climate in ports. This will reduce the costs of cargo users.
