Abstract

Traffic road safety is part of the general security of every country. Traffic safety is primarily a social and then an economic category, which is conditioned by the relationship between the factors in the traffic safety system, i.e. relations of participants in traffic, vehicles, transport infrastructure and suprastructures, and other factors in their dynamic system. Active traffic safety refers to the prevention of traffic accidents, and reducing the likelihood of an accident. Measures of active traffic safety are achieved by reducing the number of traffic accidents. Passive traffic safety refers to reducing the harmful consequences of traffic accidents that have occurred. When selecting a video surveillance system, its necessary to take into account all factors that may affect the operation of the system, starting with its purpose, the number of necessary cameras, working in outdoor and night conditions, shooting mode, recording quality, client needs, or all factors specific to each individual end user.
